Arte Goes on an European Road Trip

May. 22, 2024

This spring, cultural broadcaster ARTE makes a big roadtrip with 27 Europeans. In the travelling exhibit and campaign "Nice to Meet You", created together with agency KesselsKramer, a truck with 27 larger-than-life portraits of Europeans will travel across the continent, visiting cities in every corner of Europe. The 30 day journey culminates just before the upcoming European elections.

The truck is travelling through numerous cities, including Strasbourg, Warsaw, Vilnius, Riga, Prague, Bratislava, Venice, Ljubljana, and many more. Each portrait represents a unique European individual, reflecting the cultures, histories, and stories that make up the European identity.

Accompanying the exhibition is a dedicated team of journalists, videographers, and photographers who are documenting the journey. They will engage with locals, capturing their reactions to the portraits and gathering their thoughts on European unity, identity, and the continent's future. These interactions will be shared on ARTE's dedicated platform, offering a real-time glimpse into the diverse perspectives of Europeans today.

"Nice to Meet You" is more than just an exhibition; it is a moving dialogue across borders, a visual and conversational exploration of what it means to be European in the 21st century. As the European elections approach, this project aims to foster a deeper understanding and connection among the people of Europe.
