Arts & Sciences London Signs Torstein Bjorklund for UK Representation

Apr. 14, 2026

Arts & Sciences London proudly welcomes director Torstein Bjørklund to its roster, expanding on his successful first year with the boutique production company in the US. The Norwegian actor-turned-director made his mark creating standout campaigns for leading Scandinavian brands, and with this signing, he steps into a new chapter, bringing his vision to an even broader European audience.

Bjørklund’s directorial style blends offbeat humor with straightforward storytelling and a lighthearted sensibility. As an actor’s director, he skillfully guides each performer to refined and specific performances that elevate every script. This is reflected in his recent brand films, which include work for McDonald’s, the Danish Health Authority, Gåmed, Telia, Contour Roller Mouse, as well as Norway’s Telenor Coastal Radio and the National Recruitment for Teacher Training, bringing a comedic touch and sharp visuals to every spot.

This approach to filmmaking has made him a popular narrative director, in addition to his commercial work. He earned a Gullruten (Gold Screen) Award for directing sixteen episodes of the hit Norwegian HBO comedy, Basic Bitch. His other Gullruten-nominated television work includes the first season of dramedy Fling and an entire season of Superheltskolen (Superhero Academy).

Bjorklund on signing remarked:

“I’m thrilled to join the ranks of Arts & Sciences London. The whole Arts & Sciences team was remarkably supportive this past year as I started work in the US. Working with them across the board is very exciting - their roster is full of directors I greatly admire, and I look forward to getting started in the UK as well in the coming year!”

James Bland, Managing Director and Partner of Arts & Sciences London, added:

“I’ve gotten to know Torstein over the past year, and it’s been a real pleasure to watch the work develop. He has a very clean read on human behaviour. He doesn’t chase jokes, he observes and lets it play, which is why the work lands. He’s also an actor, so he knows where to push and where to hold back. That combination is rare.”
