Audi showcases Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium in new partnership spot

Tottenham Hotspur partner Audi UK has brought the iconic Tottenham Hotspur Cockerel back for another adventure, as part of its showcase of the Club’s new stadium.

Created by We Are Social Sport with production from We Are Social Studios, the campaign’s hero film sees the cockerel arrive at the stadium in an Audi Q8. The content shows off a number of different areas inside the iconic multi-use venue, including the home dressing room, press auditorium and underground car park, before closing pitchside.

Throughout the footage, the cockerel is joined by Tottenham Hotspur players Toby Alderweireld, Fernando Llorente, Erik Lamela and Kyle Walker-Peters; as well as club legend Ledley King. Unlike traditional football sponsorship activations, however, the cockerel remains the focus throughout; owning its role as guardian of the Club and making sure that the players and everyone associated are focused on the task at hand - finishing the season in style.

The content will be distributed on Audi UK and Tottenham Hotspur’s social media channels from today, with a primary focus on Twitter.

Christina Dudley, events manager, Audi UK said:

“This campaign once again challenges the norm when it comes to sports sponsorship activations - it shows how Tottenham Hotspur and Audi dare to be different. We’ve taken a slightly different approach, to focus on something which embodies the spirit of both brands. The opportunity to show off the Club’s new stadium to its loyal fanbase is a huge bonus.”

Gareth Leeding, group creative director, We Are Social Sport added:

“The opening of Spurs’ new stadium is a huge moment for the Club and its partners. We wanted to be able to help Audi UK tap into this, drawing on the success of our real-life cockerel star seemed like an opportunity that was too good to miss. With these activations, we hope we’ve set a new, more interesting and innovative bar for sports sponsorship standards.”
