Born Social Promotes Alex Green to Head of Growth to Lead Next Phase of UK Expansion

Mar. 31, 2026

Global social-first creative agency Born Social has promoted Alex Green (née Alex Johnson) to Head of Growth (UK), as the agency strengthens its UK new business strategy and deepens collaboration with parent company Croud to respond to increasing demand for broader, cross-discipline briefs.

Green steps into the role following a series of UK and US wins for the agency, in which she has played a central role. Having spent a decade at Born Social, most recently as Business Director, she has led some of the agency’s biggest pitches and accounts, including growing the Diageo partnership from a single brand into a multi-brand, multi-market portfolio. She recently joined the IPA’s New Business and Marketing Group, reflecting her growing profile within the industry.

In her new role, Green will bring together Born Social’s UK new business pipeline and lead end-to-end growth strategies as the agency’s social-first creative specialism continues to see record demand from clients. She will also work closely with Croud’s Chief Growth Officer, James Wilde, on shared pitches and projects, as briefs increasingly span multiple disciplines.

The promotion comes at a pivotal moment for the agency, as brands look for partners who can provide more seamless, joined-up creative and media solutions. Green will play a key role in shaping Born Social’s UK new business strategy, ensuring the agency is well-positioned to respond to evolving client needs.

Reporting into Ben Tyson, CEO, Green will oversee a team of two within the expanding new business function.

Ben Tyson, CEO at Born Social, said:

"Alex has run some of our biggest pitches and accounts in her ten years at Born Social – a true Swiss army knife. An adaptable, gritty leader, she’s relentless in her pursuit of excellence. She’s exactly the right person to bring together the best of Born Social’s social-first creative specialism with the broader capabilities available through Croud. Her leadership will be critical in shaping the next phase of our growth."

Alex Green, Head of Growth (UK) at Born Social, added:

"I’m incredibly proud to step into this role at such an exciting time for Born Social. Having spent the past decade helping to grow client partnerships and lead major pitches, I’m energised by the opportunity to shape our UK new business strategy and work more collaboratively to unlock bigger opportunities for clients. As briefs continue to evolve, we have a real opportunity to respond with smarter, more connected thinking."
