Church Edit Opened the Doors to its new Dumbo Office, Marking the Occasion with a Full-House Launch Party
Sep. 23, 2026
Last week, Church Edit opened the doors to its new Dumbo office, marking the occasion with a full-house launch party that brought together artists, collaborators, and creative talent from New York, Los Angeles, and around the world. The night carried the unmistakable energy of New York - packed, eclectic, buzzing late into the evening - capped off, presumably, with a Prince Street slice. Church Edit has officially landed on the East Coast, building on the success of its Los Angeles office and marking a new chapter in the company’s growth.
The night saw Church’s growing creative community converge in Brooklyn: DJ behind the decks, ‘I love NY’ cups, bags, and merch custom-made for the occasion, silver trays piled with street-cart staples, and the space glowing in signature Church-green. A vibrant mix from across the worlds of production, advertising, photography, fashion, and the arts moved between the office and rooftop, taking in sweeping views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges as the party carried on late into the evening. The night brought Church’s vision for New York to life: more than a place to work, it’s a creative home built around community; a space where different perspectives and disciplines come together, ideas spark, inspiration is shared, and that collective energy translates into the uniqueness of the work.
Church Edit Co-Founder Mah Ferraz shared:
“Opening in New York is incredibly close to my heart. New York is a huge part of who I am and has shaped me as a person and creative. There’s a drive and an energy to this city that has always inspired me, and in so many ways, it’s the same spirit Church is built around: a strong sense of community, different cultures, and a constant push to create and move things forward. Thursday night was a little taste of that, and it was incredibly special to share it with people who have been part of my life since the very beginning of my career, alongside our LA and global Church team. Having all of those worlds together in one room meant so much to me and I can’t wait for what’s to come.”
Located at 45 Main Street in Dumbo, Brooklyn, the thoughtfully designed, light-filled loft houses purpose-built editorial bays alongside flexible suites for color and finishing, balanced by open, communal spaces for gathering, conversation, and collaboration.
Since launching in 2024, Church has built an international and US-based roster of editors working across commercials, music videos, and narrative. The New York expansion grows out of the same philosophy that has shaped Church from the beginning: that creativity isn’t bound by geography, and thrives when different ways of thinking collide. In the right environment, distinct points of view have the space to meet and influence one another, fostering a culture of curiosity, experimentation, and creative exchange.
Church Edit Co-Founder James Drew said:
“I couldn't be more proud and excited! New York has always felt like a natural next step for Church. The ambition was never just to open another office, but to create a real home for the creative community here. So much of what makes Church special comes from bringing different people, perspectives, and disciplines together, and seeing that energy fill the space on opening night felt like the clearest expression of what we want Church New York to be.”
In just two years, Church has emerged as one of the industry’s leading post houses, with award-winning work recognized by Cannes Lions, the Emmys, D&AD, CICLOPE, AICP, the VMAs, and more — a testament to a culture that places talent, community, and craft at its core, and where different backgrounds, experiences, and creative voices shape both the process and the work itself.
