DEFINITION 6 Gains New Expertise With Addition of SVP, Group Account Director Laura Schneider
Aug. 16, 2022
Customer experience agency DEFINITION 6 (D6) welcomes Laura Schneider as Senior Vice President, Group Account Director. Schneider is a senior marketing and brand executive with more than 20 years of experience leading business strategies for agencies like Barkley, Leo Burnett, Moroch, and most notably, 15 years overseeing marketing at The Home Depot.
At The Home Depot, Schneider began in Merchandise Marketing, where she led retail event and product marketing. Over the next several years, she worked her way up as Sr. Manager of Product and Trend Insights, to Director of Customer Acquisition for Home Services, and finally, as the company’s Director and Lead Brand Strategist in their Enterprise Marketing division.
Jason Rockman, DEFINITION 6 President, says:
“Laura’s marketing savvy and passion for cross-functional team-building will ensure that everyone, both on the agency and client sides, will drive towards the same goal of successful partnerships and campaigns that produce bottom-line results.”
Schneider, who is based in Atlanta, adds:
“D6 is a visible and vibrant partner in the advertising community. Their work in digital innovation allows me to stay close to the brand strategy, emerging technology, and data science work I was doing at The Home Depot. I am excited to help scale this part of our business.”
Schneider discovered her passion for marketing and advertising at the University of Florida and never looked back. She landed her first agency job at Texas-based Moroch, where she handled media planning and buying for 20th Century Fox, Midas, and McDonald’s. She soon graduated from media to accounts, overseeing local marketing and advertising for McDonald's fast-food cooperatives throughout North and South Carolina. She next split her time between Chicago and Atlanta, working with Leo Burnett to help them set up regional marketing recruitment for the U.S. Army.
As to her new SVP role at DEFINITION 6, Schneider looks forward to bringing her expertise to advance best-practice strategies and operations at the agency.
Schneider concludes:
“I’m highly curious and I love challenges. That’s actually why I’ve chosen to come back to the agency side, particularly one that has a strong focus like D6. I’m excited to coach, share, and create the same kind of success we had at The Home Depot — for the team and clients alike.”
Outside of work, Schneider loves to volunteer for community causes and spend time with her husband Ryan and “fur family,” dogs Finn, Junebug, and cat Oliver.
