Editor Flaura Atkinson Joins Church Edit for US Representation

Church Edit continues to expand its roster with the signing of editor Flaura Atkinson, whose award-winning catalogue spans commercials, music videos, and both short and long-form narrative films. Distinguished by her comedy-driven body of work and taste for the absurd, Flaura brings an eclectic creative voice and sharp editorial instincts to Church, where she will be represented for US work alongside her UK representation at Stitch.

With over a decade of experience in post, Flaura has built a body of work defined by bold ideas, sharp comedic timing, and an ability to elevate both narrative and branded work with humor and cultural resonance. On the commercial side, her portfolio features campaigns for global brands like Adidas, IKEA, Nespresso, McDonald’s, Netflix, Gucci, Burberry, alongside top directors including Eros V, Marielle Heller, Kinopravda, Jake Mavity, and Cloé Bailly. Recent highlights include Wilkinson Sword Intuition’s bold campaign, ‘Any Hair, Anywhere.’ Directed by Marielle Heller and produced by Caviar, the spot offers a refreshingly unfiltered portrayal of women’s body hair, from pits to toes. She also brought her editorial touch to McDonald’s ‘The Meal’ campaign, directed by Jake Mavity. The spot went on to sweep this year’s award circuit, taking home three Cannes Lions, a D&AD Wood Pencil, two Clio Awards, Silver British Arrow, and an impressive seven Creative Circle Awards - four gold, two silver, and a bronze.

Flaura said:

Alongside her commercial portfolio, Flaura has built an impressive body of narrative work. She has edited several award-winning short films with director Eros V, their latest being ‘Meat Puppet’ (2024), a twisted comedy-horror about a puppet and the perils of arrested development. The film was awarded the Gold Shark Award for Best Editing at the Kinsale Shark Short Film Awards, a Creative Circle Award for editing, the Special Jury Prize and Audience Award at SXSW’s Midnight Shorts Program, and a BIFA nomination for Best British Short. Other titles with Eros V include ‘Right Place, Wrong Tim,’ ‘Good Boy,’ and ‘Double Tap,’ which also won gold at the Kinsale Shark Awards. Long-form credits include the feature film ‘COLD,’ directed by Claire Coaché and Lisle Turner, which earned her Best Editor honors at the RED Movie Awards, LA Independent Film Awards, and New York Independent Cinema Awards, and director Ed Morris’s debut feature ‘How To Stop A Recurring Dream,’ which won Best Narrative Feature at the Aesthetica Film Festival and Best Feature at the British Urban Film Festival.

Born in Germany, raised in West Sussex, and now based in London, Flaura discovered her creative calling at 15 when a media studies teacher sparked her passion for editing. Captivated by the process as a practice in problem solving, she went on to study TV Production at Bournemouth University before beginning her career at Peepshow Post. From there, she moved up the ladder and honed her craft as an editor at The Quarry before signing with Stitch.
