JBL Celebrates Launch of Next Generation of Portable Speakers with Series of Playful Vignettes

Mar. 14, 2025

Popular consumer lifestyle brand and audio equipment manufacturer JBL, has launched a series of playful vignettes to celebrate the release of their next generation Flip 7 and Charge 6 portable speakers and their new partybox 520.

Live from today, the Global series highlights how JBL’s speakers are made with everyone in mind, and can be used anywhere, all while championing the versatility of JBL’s products, the diversity of JBL’s fan base across the world, and the colourful and unique ways they use JBL’s portable speakers.

Designed social first, each vignette playfully brings to life a specific product feature of the all new Flip 7 and Charge 6 portable speakers such as; interchangeable finger loop and carabiner hook so you can take your music anywhere, AI Sound Boost for powerful bass without distortion, up to 28 hours of battery when using Playtime Boost and an upgraded tweeter with a dome design, for clearer and more crisp sound at higher volumes.

With JBL’s next generation speakers designed to be used and made to be heard, the vignettes also showcase the durable nature of JBL’s speakers and their adaptability to on-the-go modern living.

The vignette series includes; a cruising mobility scooter crew with JBL portable speakers attached to their vehicles, a traffic warden with a JBL portable speaker attached to his belt, directing traffic while  dancing, a group of kids playing a competitive game of football, with both a ball and a JBL speaker, a young boy showing off his dancing skills into the night alongside a JBL speaker who keeps up with him, and a trio of dancers, enjoying the big sounds JBL’s portable speakers have to offer. Each vignette finishes with the end line ‘made to be heard’.

In true collaborative style, the five vignettes were created and executed by agencies across the Havas network, including Havas London, Havas New York, and Havas CX.

The vignettes are live across multiple markets including EMEA, NA & APAC from today, sitting across TV, BVOD, social, audio and digital - accompanied by OOH.

John Livanos, SVP, Global Lifestyle Marketing, HARMAN International said:

"We’re thrilled to launch JBL’s next generation of portable speakers with this playful suite of films. Each is designed to showcase new features, including dustproof, long-lasting battery and booming bass. However you choose to enjoy the music you love, there’s always a JBL speaker ready to rise to the occasion.”

Mark Whelan, Chairman and Group Chief Creative Officer at Havas UK added:

“JBL is a mainstream, popular brand with the ability to take its product performance seriously, but not itself. These little films are designed to explain individual features in a fun accessible way."
