La La Anthony Returns to Old Spice's Men Have Skin Too Campaign with Latest Spot
Feb. 28, 2023
La La Anthony is officially back in the latest chapter of the Old Spice Men Have Skin Too campaign! After making her Old Spice commercial debut in October, she stars in a brand new hilarious spot alongside Deon Cole and Gabrielle Dennis that highlights the new Wilderness Aluminum Free Dry Spray and continues the campaign’s focus on diversity both in front of and behind the camera.
Deon loves his Old Spice Wilderness Aluminum Free Dry Spray, but so do the women in his family! At this year’s family reunion, Deon finds that yet again Gabrielle has borrowed his Old Spice and proceeds to share it with the entire family, leading to a hilarious exchange with his female relatives.
Beyond relatable Black representation on the screen with an all-Black cast, Old Spice emphasizes the importance of equitable representation behind the camera as well. Directing the spot is Dime Davis (Emmy-nominated director and writer with credits including HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show, Abbot Elementary, The Chi and The First Lady) who delivers a unique perspective to bring to life the latest chapter of Deon and Gabrielle’s iconic characters. With this Old Spice campaign and many past campaigns, the brand’s marketing leans into the need for more content creation and talent development opportunities that celebrate creativity and enables Black creators to share the full richness of the Black experience.
