Nomad Signs Acclaimed Editor Cami Starkman

Nov. 18, 2025

Award-winning post-production company Nomad proudly welcomes Cami Starkman to its roster of talent. Renowned for her emotionally rich narratives and fearless creative vision, Starkman has earned an industry-wide reputation for bringing a distinctive artistic voice to every project she touches.

A visual artist since childhood, Starkman began her career at Sunset Edit and later The Den Editorial, where she spent several years editing an expansive range of commercials, music videos, and documentaries. Her commercial credits include campaigns for top-tier brands like Puma, Mercedes-Benz, Calvin Klein, Savage X Fenty, Samsung, Google, Tommy Hilfiger, Absolut Vodka, Starbucks, and Netflix. Her editorial touch has also shaped visuals for global superstars such as Katy Perry, Eminem, Mariah Carey, Solange, and Nick Jonas—including a career-defining moment when she edited a Cher music video live, with the icon herself seated beside her.

In long-form, Starkman co-edited the HBO documentary special Insecure: The End, a poignant farewell to Issa Rae’s groundbreaking series. Her editorial work on "Tending The Wild"—an Emmy-winning documentary for KCET that explores the ecological wisdom of Indigenous communities across California—further demonstrated her ability to weave narrative with purpose. She also brought her nuanced touch to the food and travel docuseries Searching For Soul Food, which earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Single-Camera Editing.

Starkman shared:

“Editing feels like making art. I truly enjoy collaborating, whether it’s with a director or a large agency team. I always treat the edit bay like a friendly hangout, and that’s exactly the spirit I felt when I met the Nomad team. Their commitment to artistry, global reach, and collaborative culture is unmatched. I look forward to partnering with the team and taking on projects that challenge and inspire me."

Alaina Zanotti, Senior Executive Producer of Nomad LA, added:

“We’re excited to have Cami join the team. Her talent is obvious, but what truly sets her apart is the spirit she brings into the room. She’s thoughtful, fearless, and dedicated to the craft in a way that makes her a natural fit for the culture at Nomad.”
