Ogilvy Paris Announces the Launch of its 4rd Edition of Hors Circuit for Equal Opportunities in the Comms Sector

Ogilvy Paris Announces the Launch of its 4rd Edition of Hors Circuit for Equal Opportunities in the Comms Sector

Ogilvy Paris launched Hors Circuit in 2021,

Convinced that talent has no origins, neighborhoods or limits, Ogilvy Paris joins forces with its partners Mediawan, Instagram, Society, Les Determines & Hogarth, for the forth edition of its Hors Circuit competition. The winner will benefit from all the expertise of an agency like Ogilvy and its network, as well as material and financial assistance to bring his or her personal project to fruition.

This year, the contest aims to emphasize the need for light-heartedness in a particularly anxiety-induced climate. It’s all about humour and comedy! And we know there’s no shortage of it among our target audience. The competition is open to anyone between the ages of 18 and 35, living in France and planning to make a short film or humorous miniseries. To enter, all you have to do is send a mock-up of your project, filmed on a smartphone, to the Hors Circuit website before November 29, 2024. The winner will be supported by Ogilvy Paris and its partners in the professional production of his/her short film or miniseries.

Despite numerous efforts and initiatives, the communications sector in France still suffers from an imbalance in the social representation of those who comprise it. That’s why, in 2021, the employees of Ogilvy Paris, via its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee, imagined Hors Circuit: a free springboard competition to help talented artists emerge without a network. The competition is open to young artists residing in France between the ages of 18 and 35. It is open to directors, illustrators, sound designers and graphic artists. Last year, content creator Djenaba Diame won the 3rd edition of the competition, and Ogilvy Paris has been supporting her ever since in the development of "Declic", a social media site promoting talented women from all walks of life.

Matthieu Elkaim, President & Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Paris shared:

"The three previous seasons have taught us that Hors Circuit is more than just a competition. It’s become a mission, one that consists in showing all these young talents that they have a place to take, that it’s possible, and that we’re interested in them. For this fourth edition, we want to laugh. Because we all need it, and because we believe that humour is certainly the most powerful and accessible weapon capable of easing many a tension. Whether it’s through a short film, a miniseries or a sketch, we’re convinced that the results will, as every year, be surprising, charming and up to our expectations."
