Proud Mary: The Divine Goddess of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Proud Mary: The Divine Goddess of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Feb. 13, 2025

Meet Proud Mary, the extra virgin olive oil that refuses to blend into the background. This is the EVOO with sass and shimmer — single press, single source, and bursting with flavor. A botanical power chord that strums high notes of cream, fresh grass, basil, and sun-ripened tomatoes, leaving a lingering tremolo of good vibes.

The New Queen of the Kitchen Counter

Proud Mary isn’t just another olive oil. She’s the centrepiece of the banquet, a talking point at every dinner table. With a bold pink and gold tin and a backstory straight out of rock "n" roll mythology, she turns casual meals into culinary symphonies.

Best mates and co-founders Calum Ward and Vikesh Amey Bhatt used their backgrounds in Advertising to apply some industry cheat codes to shake up the EVOO aisle, which they noticed was flooded with dull green labels and clipart depictions of peasants.

Calum said:

“We wanted to create something that looked as good as it tasted. Something you’re proud to have on your counter.”

The result? A bottle with soul, swagger and serious flavour credentials. Inspired by ancient mysticism, the tin tells the tale of Proud Mary, the Divine Queen of Extra Virgin Rock ’n’ Roll, a mythical force whose guitar riffs made olive trees sway and fruit flourish.

Flavour First, Always

But Proud Mary isn’t just about the look, she delivers on taste. This is premium, small-batch, expertly crafted EVOO, made for dipping, drizzling, and drowning your food in (guilt-free).

Vikesh said:

“I’ve been over-pouring olive oil my whole life. Now, I finally have one that deserves it.”

Find Her at London’s Finest Delis

Now available at Selfridges, Eat17, Superette, Kitchen Provisions and online via Delli, Proud Mary is already making waves from Leyton to Liverpool.

So next time you reach for olive oil, make it Proud Mary, because EVOO should be as bold, beautiful, and badass as the food you make with it.
