Quilter Campaign Helps You Rethink Your Money Relationship

Quilter Campaign Helps You Rethink Your Money Relationship

Aug. 03, 2026

Quilter, the wealth management company, has partnered with independent creative agency Joint to bring its "Money Needs a Plan" platform to television for the first time, marking a major new chapter for the campaign and the brand's biggest push yet.

Developed by Joint, the campaign encourages people to think differently about their money and whether it's simply sitting doing nothing for them.

Working in a category often associated with inertia, Joint set out to create a campaign that would feel simple, relatable and relevant to everyday life. Rather than leaning into fear or financial complexity, the creative uses humour to completely reframe people's relationship with money.

The campaign marks Quilter's first-ever TV advertising campaign and its biggest brand investment to date. Running for five weeks across TV, BVOD, social and digital channels, the hero film is directed by Tim Godsall, whose acclaimed comedic storytelling brings warmth and relatability to the campaign's central message.

Media planning and buying has been led by Bountiful Cow, whose strategy combines the broad reach and emotional impact of premium broadcast television with precision audience targeting to ensure Quilter reaches affluent consumers in trusted, high-attention environments. Launching across Sky, Channel 4 and broadcaster video-on-demand, the campaign uses ONS postcode data to focus activity in affluent areas nationwide, while premium programming including The House of Dragon, Rob & Romesh Vs, Formula 1 Highlights and live Premier League football, Formula 1 and cricket was carefully selected to place Quilter's message alongside content that resonates with its audience.

Beyond linear TV, the strategy extends Quilter's storytelling through 40-second VOD creative across ITVX, Amazon and Channel 4, giving the brand more time to build understanding while retaining the premium context, targeting and addressability of broadcaster platforms. By combining broad reach with richer storytelling in trusted viewing environments, the campaign creates a Relative Advantage that helps Quilter stand apart in a category where trust and consideration are critical.

Alongside AV, Quilter will bring the campaign to life with new digital executions shot by James Day. The campaign also extends across Meta, LinkedIn and Reddit, with each platform playing a distinct role within the customer journey. Reddit, in particular, enables Quilter to engage financially engaged communities actively researching, discussing and seeking advice on major financial decisions, allowing the brand to participate in relevant conversations at moments of genuine consideration rather than interruption.

Jo Harris, chief customer officer at Quilter said:

“Most people have things they want to achieve in life, whether that's buying a home, supporting their family, retiring comfortably or simply feeling more in control of their finances. But those goals can be much harder to reach without a plan. This campaign is all about helping people see that financial planning doesn't have to be complicated or only for the wealthy. It's about having a clear idea of where you want to get to and taking practical steps to move in the right direction. By taking Money Needs a Plan to TV for the first time, we will reach more people with a simple message that whatever matters to you in life, having a plan for your money can help you get there.”

George MacKean, Business Director at Bountiful Cow, said:

“Quilter's first TV campaign required a media strategy that balanced broad reach with smart audience targeting. Premium broadcast delivers the scale, trust and emotional impact needed to introduce the brand to a wider audience, while our digital strategy allows us to continue that conversation in environments where people are actively thinking about their financial future. Rather than relying solely on demographic targeting, we focused on reaching people in the right contexts and mindsets. Reddit gives Quilter a Relative Advantage because it's still an underutilised platform for financial services brands, allowing Quilter to directly engage communities in moments of genuine consideration instead of competing for attention in crowded channels. It’s an approach that ensures Quilter isn't just reaching the right audience but reaching them when they're most receptive to thinking differently about their money."

Algy Sharman, chief creative officer at Joint added:

"It has been so rewarding to see how this brand platform can extend into other channels, including some fantastic new digital and experiential work as well as Quilter's first ever TV spot. It is smart, funny but most importantly persuasive.
