Rapper Lil Dicky Gets The Jump On The Super Bowl Halftime Show

Feb. 08, 2022

Lil Dicky - rapper, comedian, and star of FXX’s critically-acclaimed show "Dave", revealed via video on Twitter that he is teaming up with Gopuff to present entertainment faster during the Big Game. In response to having not been invited to perform in this year's Halftime Show, Lil Dicky decided to take matters into his own hands and get the jump on halftime with the first-ever LIVE "Gopuff Quartertime Show" on Twitter and his YouTube Sunday 2/13 during the first quarter of the Big Game.

The teaser features Cardi B and her signature Whipshots vodka-infused whipped cream, and sets up the one-of-a-kind music spectacle that will stream between the first and second quarters of the Super Bowl. The Gopuff Quartertime Show is designed to deliver entertainment fast—as fast as Gopuff delivers everyday essentials. It will feature celebrity cameos, and an epic performance from the artist and give fans an incentive to experience Gopuff.

Created with award-winning creative agency MIRIMAR and produced by Prettybird, the "Gopuff Quartertime Show" was directed by Kitao Sakurai. The concept marks Gopuff's first-ever Big Game marketing moment and is uniquely designed to target key audiences off network and on social media including YouTube.

Daniel Folkman, SVP Business at Gopuff said:

"Like Gopuff, Lil Dicky was born in Philadelphia and has quickly amassed a loyal fan base who care about creativity and culture. As consumers’ consumption needs evolve—both in media and in delivery—we love that the Gopuff Quartertime Show instantly brings fans entertaining content faster than ever before."

John McKelvey, Founder and Chief Creative Officer of MIRIMAR said:

"Gopuff is a hugely ambitious, active brand. Rather than buy a traditional 30’ sec spot and hope it breaks through, we created an entertainment platform that can be ongoing, achieve awareness and get people actively experiencing Gopuff."

Gopuff recently launched in Los Angeles, the hometown of this year's Super Bowl, and is now delivering everyday needs to more than half of Los Angelenos (7+ million) in as little as 15-20 minutes, and also delivers to more than 70% of folks in the city of Cincinnati. To celebrate what’s to be one of the newest Big Game traditions, Instant Needs leader Gopuff will offer $10 off the first 3 orders for new customers at the start of the "Gopuff Quartertime Show" with the code QUARTERTIME.

Lil Dicky is known for subverting culture with his music videos such as Earth, Freaky Friday, Professional Rapper, and Save Dat Money, with collective views in the billions.
