Recipe Unveils Debut Campaign "Taking back the Game" for 888poker

May. 11, 2017

Today, London-based creative agency Recipe launches its first work for 888poker since being appointed lead creative agency for the world’s second-largest online poker game, owned by 888 Holdings.

Launching on May 11th, the campaign marks the launch of a new creative platform, ‘Taking Back The Game’ - a strapline intended to convey 888poker’s ambition to remove frustrations for its players common to other online poker sites, so they can enjoy poker worth playing.

The campaign is designed to acknowledge rivals’ issues, with the negatives singled out and subject to the judgement ‘what a buzzkill’ before an 888poker solution. Two ads launch the campaign– ‘Basketball’ focuses on fairer games and ‘Can’t Get In’ focuses on removing the barrier to qualify for the WSOP (World Series of Poker).

Dan Jacobs, Creative Director at Recipe said:

“In 888poker we have the chance to disrupt the market, to act as a challenger brand and to make a big impact. This new campaign is an important first step towards achieving that and more.”

Itai Pazner, Senior Vice President/Head of B2C Division at 888 Holdings said:

“We are working to breathe fresh air into the online poker market. We have great plans for this year to get 888poker ‘Taking Back The Game’.”

* Recipe is lead creative agency across all 888 Holdings brands including 888poker, 888sport, 888casino, 777casino and Wink. The ‘Taking Back The Game’ campaign for 888poker will run on TV and VOD from May 11th 2017.
