Mar. 06, 2017

Red Fuse Communications has hired Manir Fadel as its new Executive Creative Director across EMEA.

Fadel joins Red Fuse from sister WPP agency J. Walter Thompson, where he was the global ECD for Unilever’s Sunsilk brand.

Red Fuse is WPP’s full-service integrated agency dedicated to serving all of Colgate-Palmolive’s brands worldwide.

In his new role, Fadel will oversee all of WPP’s creative output for Colgate-Palmolive across Europe, Eurasia, Middle East, and Africa, a region that covers over 130 countries and 2 billion people.

Based in Red Fuse’s regional headquarters in Paris, Fadel will report to Jason Oke, Regional Managing Director EMEA for Red Fuse Communications, and will join Red Fuse EMEA's management team. He will also join the Y&R EMEA Creative Council, which is led by Y&R’s regional CCO Jaime Mandelbaum.

Fadel took on the global ECD role at JWT in 2015. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at Lew’Lara\TBWA, one of Brazil’s most successful creative agencies, where he ultimately became Chief Creative Officer and Partner.

Originally from Brazil, Fadel started his career as a copywriter with stints at DM9DDB and Ogilvy in Sao Paolo. He has received every major industry award, with over 20 Cannes Lions and other awards ranging from D&AD, One Show, IPA, Gunn Report, and Clios, to Effie Awards. Fadel was recognised as one of the top 10 creative directors at Cannes in 2010.

Jason Oke said:

“Manir is a progressive, world-class creative leader with exceptional experience and is the perfect match for the open, collaborative culture at Red Fuse. He will be a key asset as we evolve and grow in line with our clients’ needs.”

Manir Fadel added:

“I’m thrilled to join Red Fuse and help Jason and the team to continue to build one of the most iconic brands in the planet. This is an agency that was born integrated, open minded and driven to produce world class work from day one. And that is the kind of place that I want to be part of.”
