Sound Transit and Copacino Fujikado Launch Zombie-Themed Campaign to Encourage Public Transit Use

Sound Transit, the public transit system serving Washington's Puget Sound region, has teamed up with Seattle-based agency Copacino Fujikado to launch a witty and eye-catching new campaign encouraging commuters to leave behind their car keys—and their undead habits.

The campaign, which features zombies trapped in the soul-sucking monotony of daily traffic, humorously captures the all-too-familiar feeling of being stuck behind the wheel. From gas prices that "drain your soul" to parking tickets from the "dawn of dread," the campaign paints a vivid picture of the daily driving grind.

Vince Soliven, Executive Creative Director at Copacino Fujikado said:

“We’ve all seen them—heck, we ARE them. Zombies in traffic, dead-eyed behind the wheel. But here’s the plot twist: there’s a cure—Sound Transit. This campaign holds up a mirror and says, ‘You don’t have to live the undead life.’”

The campaign tagline, “Break a mindless habit,” encourages commuters to consider a smarter, more human alternative to the daily slog: Sound Transit.

Tim Healy, Marketing Director at Sound Transit said:

“Though ridership is rising, we want even more people to see that public transit is, well, a no-brainer. We love how this campaign brings humor and relatability to an issue so many deal with.”

The integrated campaign includes 15-second and 30-second video spots, as well as social content, launching across platforms on May 7.
