The Initiative Supported By Greenpeace That Invites To Care The Environment

Jun. 04, 2021

How many times a day do you think about the health of our planet?  Most likely it only happens when you come across the cloud of smoke left by a bus or when the pile of garbage on the sidewalk prevents you from walking by. These may be a few of very simple examples which have to do with pollution but which are part of a much deeper problem: the environment. Pollution, CO2 levels, ice melting, rise in global temperature, or indiscriminate deforestation have become the main causes of deterioration of the environment, things that you find out about or that you think about only when word of mouth reaches you. But have you ever thought that the voice that could make you aware of the environmental problem is that of the Earth itself?

This year, on June 5th, World  Environment Day,  is the ideal time for this to turn from imagination into reality.

@earthissaying is an initiative which has the support of Greenpeace Colombia and that, from its first day on the air, has achieved making information regarding the health of planet Earth come first hand. Now, thanks to this initiative, we can all know what the Earth thinks about the state of health of its environment since it is she who uses her own voice to tell us about it. It seems incredible, but owing to the synchronization of satellites and climate monitors around the world and the integration that allows a platform based on machine learningit was possible to translate the climate information of the planet in RTM  to convert it into an automated tweet,  issued without human intervention, from the Earth's own Twitter account.

Thus, with innovation put at the service of a global cause, we ratify the tireless commitment we have with environmental causes and we demonstrate on World Environment Day, that we will continue to support those actions that seek to take care of the health of our planet. We are sure that initiatives such as @earthissaying  have the power to call on all generations to fight for the care of the Earth and we invite you to continue to listen to what the Earth has to tell us on her Twitter account  -@earthissaying-  and to amplify her voice in order to take care of the environment.
