TigerLily Expands Creative Team With Editor Sol Raxlen

TigerLily Expands Creative Team With Editor Sol Raxlen

Feb. 26, 2025

Creative and production studio TigerLily welcomes Sol Raxlen, a multifaceted editor who has contributed to Telly Award-winning campaigns for Dunkin’ Donuts and Corvette. More recently, his short film "A Plague of Wasps," premiered at the Bushwick Film Festival. Since joining TigerLily, Raxlen has already cut projects for FIS, Advance Auto Parts, and IQ Fiber.

Raxlen joins TigerLily after a brief stint as a freelance video editor, working on projects for Pittsburgh's NFL Draft pitch. Before that, he was a Senior Video Editor at creative production company LAIR, where he earned awards for Craft Editing for a Dunkin’ social campaign featuring Nestor Cortés Jr., and for Chevrolet "Project Gemini," celebrating the Z06 Corvette.

Brenda Kolb, TigerLily CEO and Founder said:

"Sol is a skilled editor who gels with our multi-hyphenate team of creatives. He jumped right in, quickly grasped our pipeline, and will help us refine and enhance our workflow into the future."

Raxlen added:

"At TigerLily, I’ve experienced nothing but good people and good things converging together. I'm a big fan of their diverse work, especially in animation and docu-style content, and I’m excited to expand my experience as an editor here."

A Brazilian American born to a film director father and a harlequin-turned-sociology-PhD mother, Raxlen has always embraced a creative philosophy driven by storytelling, performance, and lived experiences. He got his start in the industry as a production assistant before transitioning to post-production. He quickly honed his skills as an editor on directors’ cuts, cutting behind-the-scenes promos for History’s Vikings series and working on various KISS nail and lash campaigns.

Specializing in Premiere, with proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Avid, and After Effects, Raxlen has edited projects for MLB Network, HGTV, United Nations Climate Summit, Delta, Acer, Bounty, and Toyota.

Raxlen concluded:

"As an editor, I’m always thinking through two pillars: storytelling and emotion. How can I connect someone to this journey, even if it’s a 30-second spot? How can I make them feel something? In many ways, it’s about creative problem-solving."

Outside of editing, Raxlen enjoys window-shopping E30s, trying to convince people to try Farofa, and having a toxic relationship with Duolingo.
