Vencedor, the leading paint brand in Peru, has just launched a campaign with real paint stories under the concept of "Every color has a story."

The first film released, Celeste, is based on a true story and it tells the story of a recently widowed grandfather facing depression that moves with his son and granddaughter who will try to cheer him up using the painting of his late wife's favourite color.

The film aired in its 2-and-a-half-minute version became an instant hit in the country, with people loving the story and strongly connecting with the brand.

Charlie Tolmos, CCO of Circus Grey Peru commented:

"The power of stories will always be a great way to connect with people, especially in these times when most brands stopped telling beautiful and emotional stories. It's amazing when marketers forget about cold analytics and performance tools and care more about giving their brands a voice to build a real connection with their customers."

The film was produced by Rebeca Films, one of the most important Peruvian production companies and directed by the LA-based Argentinian director Emiliano Cruz Lopez.

Cruz Lopez said:

"There are sometimes when advertising gives you the amazing opportunity to tell a beautiful story and this is clearly one of them."
