Socially-led creative agency We Are Social in Milan has partnered with Netflix to create RIV4LI – One Last Adventure, a special episode of the coming-of-age series inspired by a real fan letter. Now streaming on the Netflix Italy YouTube channel, the episode brings back creator Simona Ercolani's characters for one final adventure.

The story began when Hailé, a 13-year-old fan from Toulouse, France, wrote to Netflix about how deeply the series had resonated with her. Moved by her letter, Netflix decided to create a bonus episode inspired by her story.

In the episode, Terry (Kartika Malavasi), Claudio (Samuele Carrino), Paolo (Duccio Orlando) and Alessio (Joseph Figueroa) travel to Toulouse for Alessio's first comic book festival during the final summer before high school. When Alessio's comic book goes missing, tensions threaten to pull the group apart until an unexpected discovery leads them on a search for a French girl named Hailé, whose only wish is to find friendship.

Produced by Stand By Me and featuring members of the original cast, the episode culminates in a surprise visit to the real Hailé's home in Toulouse, where she makes a special cameo appearance.

The making of RIV4LI – One Last Adventure will be documented in a behind-the-scenes vlog, available on the Netflix Italy YouTube channel from 12 July.
