Wondros Collective Welcomes Director/Photographer Ondrea Barbe To Diverse Roster

Feb. 08, 2021

Led by Senior Executive Producer Danielle Peretz, Wondros Collective has welcomed beauty & lifestyle Director/Photographer Ondrea Barbe. Ondrea joins the diverse Wondros Collective directorial roster, which includes filmmakers & storytellers Jesse Dylan, The Cronenweths, Lee Farber, Stephan Malik, Tamika Miller, Riess|Hill and Lacey Uhlemeyer.

Barbe is currently in postproduction on her first, feature-length documentary, “Constant Fleeting.” Filmed and photographed over a period of 10 years, “Constant Fleeting” utilizes vérite family footage, photographs, audio recordings and collage to interrogate the themes of motherhood, marital abuse, alcoholism, forgiveness, and death with wrenching complexity and redemption.

Peretz, who herself has spent her time since joining Wondros in Fall 2019 building a compelling roster of talent, perfectly positioned for this new era of inclusion and creativity, comments:

“Ondrea is a prolific beauty and lifestyle Director and Photographer who captures the true essence of her subjects, primarily women. Ondrea has a deep sense of the endless dimensions of womanhood, and cares deeply about humanity and our planet. Ondrea brings everything to her work. She immerses herself fully into each project.”

For Barbe, Wondros Collective embodies the perfect collaborative partnership for the next step in her directorial career, she explains:

“I have always wanted to make ‘feelings’ visual -- to create imagery that touches people and speaks to them, awakening in them something they have already known but maybe were never able to articulate. I think art, photography and film can do this for people, open doors to your heart. With leaders like Jesse Dylan and Danielle Peretz, Wondros Collective is a company with an open heart -- a collective of thinkers and creators who want to leave the world better than how they found it. This is why I am so excited to be a part of this collective!”

Ondrea concludes:

“I always try to inject more love, excitement and joy back into the world. We can always laugh more! It helps put a much-needed perspective on the more serious issues of today. If I can be part of creating a little bit of joy and happiness for a wider audience, then I feel successful and a day well-spent. On a macro level, if I can open up people’s hearts to more tenderness, then my goals are getting even closer to being achieved.”
