Work Editorial Signs Award-Winning Editor Stephen Dunne for Global Representation
Apr. 01, 2025
Work Editorial is thrilled to welcome multi-award-winning editor Stephen Dunne to its roster of top-tier talent. Represented globally, he will work across Work’s offices in London, New York, and Los Angeles.
Stephen’s diverse body of work has earned him widespread industry recognition. He edited the BAFTA and Academy Award-winning short film “An Irish Goodbye” and recently completed his feature film debut, “Last Swim,” which won the Crystal Bear Award at the Berlin Film Festival ahead of its theatrical release this April.
Beyond film, Stephen has won three AICP awards, including Best in Show for the BBC’s “Trust is Earned,” which highlights the rigorous editorial process behind BBC journalism. He has also received three Creative Circle Awards, as well as accolades from British Arrows, D&AD, Black Pencils, Shots, and the Kinsale Shark Awards all celebrating his excellence in editing.
A highly creative and instinctive editor, Stephen has a deep understanding of rhythm and pacing, a skill that stems from his early years as a DJ. This natural feel for timing translates into his ability to craft dynamic, emotionally resonant stories with thoughtful composition and striking imagery.
Stephen began his career at The Quarry before joining Whitehouse Post, where he became an editor, later moving to Tenthree. Over the years, he has built strong relationships with directors including Novemba, Anders Jedenfors, Mischa Rozema, Billy Boyd Cape, and Max Fisher. His work spans high-profile campaigns for WhatsApp, Nike, Adidas, Gatorade, PlayStation, Marshall, and Sky Sports F1. He is also highly sought after in the automotive sector, collaborating with Dodge, Hyundai, Porsche, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Ford, and Rolls-Royce.
Jane Dilworth, Founding Partner of Work Editorial, shared her excitement:
“We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Stephen to Work! I’ve admired his work for a long time, and this feels like the perfect fit. His skill across the board is exceptional, and his ability to craft soundscapes that elevate the edit is truly inspiring.”
Stephen Dunne added:
“Incredible editors making incredible work—what more could you ask for? I’m excited to join the Work team.”
Frankie Elster, Executive Producer of Work Editorial London, concluded:
“Stephen has been recognized by nearly every major industry institution for his outstanding work—and deservedly so. We’re thrilled to have him on board and can’t wait to get started.”
