The Glue Society is an independent creative collective based in Sydney and New York.
It was founded in 1998 by Gary Freedman and Jonathan Kneebone and now includes five other writers, directors and artists: Matt Devine, Luke Crethar, James Dive, Pete Baker and Paul Bruty.
The Glue Society's work encompasses everything from broadcast entertainment, commercial and print advertising, film direction and graphic design to books, art exhibitions, live events, video installations and sculpture.
The company remains one of the few which balances art with commerce. As well as bringing together idea and execution into the same creative space.
Among its many awards, The Glue Society counts a Cannes Titanium and Grand Prix, several Gold Lions, D&Ad Silver Pencils and has been recognised as one of Australia's most creative companies.
For directing projects, The Glue Society is represented by Revolver in Australasia, Park Pictures in the USA, Wanda in France, Ursula in Argentina and Independent in the UK. For projects beyond film, we are represented by Will O'Rourke, Sydney.
The Glue Society has exhibited at Miami Art Basel, Pulse New York and has represented Australia at Sculpture by the Sea Denmark.
