Bacon Adds Swedish Comedy Director Carl Sundemo

Aug. 31, 2022

Over the past couple of years, he has established himself as a dead-pan comedy director with a flair for magnificently crafted universes. And a willingness to completely blow up those universes at any time. This talent, along with his experience as an editor and education as an art director, has turned Carl into a filmmaker who is rightfully on the radar of international clients and agencies.

After working abroad on most of his latest projects, signing with Bacon for Scandinavian representation marks a bit of a professional homecoming for Carl Sundemo.

Now, the Gothenburg-based director joins Bacon’s roster.

Carl Sundemo says:

“I am all about making sophisticated, complex, ambitious, and iconic films. But based on very stupid ideas. That is why I think the match with Bacon is great. To me, they represent risk-taking work and directors.”

Mette Jermiin, Executive Producer at Bacon, says:

“Carl’s work has a very distinct visual expression and is always carefully crafted. His work for clients like KLM, Liquid Death, and Naked Wines are all examples of his uncanny ability to pair this with a subtle and refined form of humor.”

Samuel Cantor, Executive Producer at Bacon, says:

“We are really looking forward to re-igniting Carl’s presence on the Scandinavian market. This is his home turf, and with his talent we are sure that he can contribute with interesting takes on some of the strong creative work we see here.”
