GUT and ANDY's Partner to Debut the new Industry Hallmark: ADLOC
Dec. 11, 2024
The 2025 industry award season is fast approaching, and with it, the ANDY Awards returns to launch its most prominent campaign yet to establish a new benchmark for industry recognition. The Advertising Club of New York has partnered with the renowned creative agency GUT to introduce the ultimate accolade and the new hallmark for the industry.
Anselmo Ramos, GUT Founder and Creative Chairman, will chair the 2025 ANDY’s Jury for the global competition. Anselmo’s life motto is “No gut, no glory,” so he looks forward to seeing what bold and inspiring work rises to the top of the competition this year.
Just as the entertainment industry has its "EGOT," the advertising and creative world is now unveiling "ADLOC" – the ultimate recognition for campaign that wins gold or its equivalent at all the world’s most prestigious shows – The ANDYs, D&AD, Lions, One Show, and Clios.
In a series of documentary-style, film-inspired spots, legendary industry creatives are interviewed and asked one simple question: Do you have an ADLOC? The answers are sure to surprise not only the audience, but even the creators themselves.
In addition to the traditional ad spots, the AD Club and GUT have developed a website where creatives can quickly check if they’ve met the requirements of an ADLOC. The site will feature a comprehensive library of ADLOC winners, near-ADLOC honorees, creative rankings, and a direct link to submit work to the ANDY Awards. Creatives will also be able to track their ANDY-winning ideas from the beginning of the award season all the way through to their final run at Cannes. The website will officially launch on December 5th.
This campaign is particularly significant for GUT as it was a collaborative effort between GUT New York, GUT Miami and the agency’s recently launched design practice.
Anselmo Ramos, GUT Founder & Creative Chairman and ANDYs 2025 Chairman said:
"The advertising industry has long been missing its own version of the EGOT. With ADLOC, we're finally giving industry talent a new bar to strive for and measure themselves against. We're excited to see how this new benchmark inspires the next generation of creative minds."
Lucas Bongioanni, GUT New York Chief Creative Officer said:
“The ANDYs really set the tone for awards season. Statistically and emotionally. That insight is really all you have to know to get an ADLOC. And an amazing piece of work that can win gold across five of the most relevant award shows.”
Gina Grillo, President & CEO, The ADVERTISING Club of New York / International ANDY Awards said:
“For over 128 years The ADVERTISING Club has raised the bar on industry standards, the launch of ADLOC is the next iteration and a new way to measure and honor advertising greatness.”
